TORA expands presence in Asia with appointment of Hong Kong director

Hong Kong director at TORA will be responsible for growing business on the Asian buy and sell-side for the tech provider’s multi asset trading platform.

Trading systems provider TORA has expanded its Asia Pacific team with the appointment of a new director of Hong Kong.

Mike Langton joins TORA as director of Hong Kong from Apex Group where he was head of the middle-office for a year.

Previously in his career, he also spent a year at Enfusion as a vice president of sales in Hong Kong and nearly 13 years at Linedata as head of sales for Asia Pacific.

Langton joins TORA as Sales Director APAC, working closely with Jethro Glover to grow TORA’s multi-asset all in one trading platform, including its order and execution management system (OEMS), portfolio management system (PMS) and execution management system (EMS), to Asian buy-side and sell-side firms.

“I’m delighted to be joining TORA, I have followed the company closely throughout my career and am really looking forward to joining the innovative in-house developers and award winning client service teams,” said Langton.

TORA has undergone several collaborations in the last few months as it looks to expand its offering. In March alone, it partnered with EBS to offer foreign exchange pricing to the buy-side and integrated its OEMS with BondCliQ to expand the US corporate bond data available to its clients.

“Mike will be a brilliant addition to our global sales team. His experience and knowledge of the industry is second to none, and will certainly help to widen TORA’s all in one OEMS and PMS offering to new Asian markets,” said Chris Jenkins, managing director at TORA.
