Finance Magnates reports with a heavy heart that IC Markets’ General Manager, Ben Singleton, passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve at the age of just 45. He is survived by his wife, Aki, and their daughters, Evie and Joni.
“All Good Things Come to an End”
Beyond his role in the financial services industry, Singleton was also a sportsperson. He represented Australia in futsal, a form of football played indoors on a hard court. In the sports world, he was affectionately known as “Door.”
His death was confirmed on Facebook by Scott Gilligan, one of Singleton’s former coaches.
“It is with deep, deep sadness that I write this post,” Gilligan wrote. “On Christmas Eve, one of my closer friends, Ben Singleton, aka Door in the futsal world, passed away.”
Gilligan also highlighted Singleton’s exceptional contributions to futsal and key achievements in the sport.
“However, all good things come to an end, sometimes sooner than you anticipate, but the memories will last forever,” Gilligan added. “Ben, I trust you have found peace, champion.”
FX Industry Mourns
Singleton also achieved great success in the financial services industry. His most recent role was at the Sydney offices of IC Markets, where he began working last August. He also held positions at several other financial institutions, including Crédit Agricole, Bank of America, and Commonwealth Bank.
Finance Magnates extends its condolences to Singleton’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. His contributions to the financial services industry and the sporting community will be remembered fondly. Singleton’s legacy as a dedicated professional, a talented athlete, and a cherished friend and family member will continue to inspire those who knew him.
